A Iraq based film company is looking for a film production service based in Rome Italy for its upcoming feature-length documentary:
Job Requirements for Local Production House – "Embers of Hope" (Italy-Based Production Only). Please check the attached script for more details.
✅ Client Will Handle:
- Director (Iraq-based)
- Lead Cast (Layla & Samir)
- Act 1 Filming (All Iraq-based scenes, including war-torn Mosul and refugee journey sequences)
- Post-Production (Editing, Sound Design, Color Grading, Final Deliverables)
📌 Local Production House Responsibility (Italy-Based, Acts 2-4 Only, 30-Day Shoot):
- Hiring all Italy-based crew (excluding director & lead actors)
- Casting all supporting actors and extras
- Securing filming locations and permits in Italy
- Providing all necessary film equipment
- Managing production logistics (transport, catering, accommodations, security, legal)
1. Key Crew Requirements
A. Production Team
🔹 Line Producer
- Oversees budgeting, scheduling, and on-ground logistics for the Italy shoot
- Manages contracts with crew, cast, and vendors
- Experience with international co-productions preferred
🔹 1st Assistant Director (1st AD)
- Runs daily shoot schedules and coordinates all departments
- Ensures that production stays on schedule
🔹 2nd Assistant Director (2nd AD)
- Manages background actors and on-set logistics
- Assists the 1st AD in scheduling
🔹 Script Supervisor
- Ensures continuity across shots and scenes
- Maintains detailed shot logs for post-production reference
🔹 Casting Director
- Sources and auditions all supporting actors & extras
- Works with the client to ensure cultural authenticity
🔹 Location Manager
- Scouts and secures all Italy-based locations
- Manages location permits and filming regulations
B. Cinematography & Camera Team
🔹 Director of Photography (DOP)
- Leads cinematography for the Italy shoot
- Works closely with the director to achieve the desired visual tone
🔹 Camera Operators (2-3)
- Operates primary and secondary cameras
- Proficient in ARRI Alexa/RED Komodo cameras
🔹 Steadicam Operator (If required)
- Specializes in handheld and tracking shots
🔹 Drone Operator (If required)
- Experienced with aerial cinematography & drone permits
🔹 Gaffer
- Manages on-set lighting setup
- Works with the DOP to create cinematic lighting designs
🔹 Best Boy Electric
- Supports the gaffer in managing lighting equipment
🔹 Grip Team (2-3 members)
- Handles rigging, dolly, cranes, and camera stabilization
C. Art & Set Design
🔹 Production Designer
- Oversees set design and ensures visual authenticity
🔹 Art Director
- Manages set decoration, props, and creative direction
🔹 Set Decorator
- Sources and arranges set elements
🔹 Prop Master
- Ensures all props are available and remain consistent
🔹 Wardrobe Stylist
- Sources and styles costumes reflecting Italian and Iraqi culture
🔹 Makeup & Hair Artist
- Provides hair and makeup services for all supporting cast
D. Sound Department
🔹 Production Sound Mixer
- Captures high-quality on-location audio

- Operates boom mic and assists the sound mixer
