About Me

I am S*m*n*a*k*r, a renowned cinematographer from Bangladesh. I have over 10+ years of professional experience in the Bangladeshi filmmaking industry, and my work has been honoured with the prestigious National Film Award for Best Cinematography for the films No Dorai (2019) and Laal Moroger Jhuti (2021).

I was born and raised in Khulna, Bangladesh and I began my career as a cinematographer in 2013. I have worked on a wide range of films, from independent features to commercial productions. I believe that cinematography is more than just capturing images, it's about crafting emotions, building atmospheres, and weaving a visual symphony that resonates with viewers on a profound level.

I am privileged to have contributed to a variety of remarkable films, each with its own unique narrative style. Some of my notable works include "Surongo" (2023), "No Dorai" (2019), "Laal Moroger Jhuti" (2021), "Damal" (2022), "Unoloukik" (2021), "Jaago Bahey" (2021), "Nikhoj" (2022), and "Cafe Desire" (2022). In addition to my professional experience, I am also an active member of the Bangladeshi filmmaking community.
