Ioanna is a documentary filmmaker and editor born and raised in Athens, Greece, in 1993. She is passionate about creating films that immerse audiences in the experience of discovering new worlds, with a particular focus on multicultural issues and the exploration of lesser-known communities.
In recent years, Ioanna has worked as a videographer and editor on various projects for mass media and NGOs. Her first short documentary, Hallelujah (2022), was featured at both Athens Ethnofest and the INDAF Film Fest in Cyprus. She has collaborated with several directors and producers, most recently serving as an editor for the Greek documentary series MUSIKOLOGY (2024) and Greek Citizens of the World (2021).
A journalism graduate of Panteion University in Athens, she received a scholarship for the Journalism Video Workshop program at Columbia University in New York, funded by the Stavros Niarchos Foundation. She also holds postgraduate studies in documentary filmmaking from the University of the Aegean in Mytilene.
Currently based in Athens, Ioanna aspires to work as a documentary filmmaker and editor on a global scale.
