I am currently a freelancer for Eccholine, a Belgium-based line-production company known for its renowned TV shows such as *Peking Express*, *Asia Express*, *Pechino Express*, *Nomads*, and *Ninja Warrior*. Simultaneously, I work as Fixer in Sri Lanka as well as an Assistant Director in the Sri Lankan film and advertising industry.
My career began in journalism, where I gained valuable media experience, but my childhood dream was to become a filmmaker. In 2008, I joined Young Asia Television as a Production Assistant Trainee. Through dedication, I quickly advanced to Assistant Producer in 2009 and Producer in 2010, allowing me to produce engaging programs and documentaries while refining my skills in research and journalism.
In 2011, I transitioned to a freelance career, which led to opportunities as an Assistant Director. Notably, I worked on the film *INI AVAN* (HIM - HERE AFTER), directed by the acclaimed Sri Lankan filmmaker Asoka Handagama. Since then, I have contributed to seven feature films, a tele-drama, and numerous local and international productions and I have written and directed two short films and a travel TV show.
Beyond my creative work, I am deeply committed to public service. Growing up in the war-affected town of Jaffna, I experienced displacement firsthand, fueling my desire to make a positive impact. From 2015 to 2019, I served as a media coordinator and journalist for the 6th Executive President of Sri Lanka, organizing and facilitating the President’s visits to the Northern and Eastern Provinces. I also worked as a Personal Secretary to the Governor of the Northern Province for 10 months in 2019, gaining valuable insights into public administration and regional development. These experiences have motivated me to bridge the gap between citizens and public offices, ensuring that their voices are heard and their concerns addressed.
With a diverse background in media production, filmmaking, and public service, I bring a unique perspective and versatile skill set. I am driven by a commitment to societal betterment and look forward to continuing to make a positive impact through my work.
