E*e*n*r*V*o is a multimedia journalist, producer and filmmaker. She has directed and produced a wide range of short and medium length documentaries set in various hostile and conflict areas in the Middle East, Africa and, more recently, Ukraine, and broadcasted by many major international media (e.g. Rai Storia, RSI, Der Spiegel, Internazionale). Eleonora has investigated the radical right in Europe (from 2018 is her documentary Far Right: A new frightening normal aired on Al Jazeera Network) and developed a documentary on the artisanal mining sector in the Democratic Republic of the Congo (DRC: femmes mineurs, la voie de l ‘émancipation (2019), for ARTE France. As a freelance producer Eleonora has often worked for The Guardian and VICE News on projects based in Italy and was involved in the making of the Netflix series Rising Phoenix (2020-2022). During the Covid pandemic, Eleonora was hired by both CCTV (China) and VTM Nieuws (Belgium) to work alongside their international TV crews in the production of various in-depth video features across Italy. From October 2021 till the end of December 2022, Eleonora worked as a creative producer for the production company Fiumi Studios based in Lugano (CH), where (alongside other smaller docs) she was responsible for the development and production of the feature film Dancing Free, presented at the 76th Locarno Film Festival. Eleonora has received various awards and collaborates with leading Italian and international media.
